Iron Ore Lumps

IMPULSO FERROVIARIO: CVG FERROMINERA ORINOCO FORTALECE SU FLOTA OPERATIVA
Bajo la gestión de Aldo Cantafio, con el respaldo de la CVG y apoyo de Visco Orinoco, Ferrominera Orinoco logró la recuperación integral de 10 vagones tipo góndola, un paso adelante hacia el robustecimiento de su flota operativa. Estas unidades, fundamentales para la logística pesada, cuentan con una capacidad de carga de 90.000 kg y un volumen de 38.4 m³ cada una. La iniciativa no solo rescata activos estratégicos, sino que optimiza los recursos al emplear repuestos recuperados directamente por la propia industria.
IRON ORE GEOLOGICAL RESERVES
Ferrominera Orinoco’s geological reserves are the result of extensive exploration, drilling, and modeling. Proven reserves support long‑term mining plans, while probable reserves extend the operational horizon for several decades. Active deposits such as San Isidro, Los Barrancos, Altamira, and Las Pailas contain high‑grade iron ore with iron contents above 63%, reaching up to 65.5% in certain areas. These reserves ensure a stable and reliable supply of raw materials for domestic and international steel producers.
