The extension incorporates six transversal tubular trusses, each 6.75 meters high and 25 meters wide, spaced 9 meters apart, along with two longitudinal trusses. These trusses will be supported by steel piles filled with concrete, measuring 24 meters in length and 1.9 meters in diameter, submerged into the Caron\u00ed River using rotary drilling with roto\u2011hammers and\/or pneumatic hammers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-ligatures-none whitespace-pre-wrap\">The wharf can accommodate vessels up to 950 meters in length, with a minimum depth of 33 feet during low\u2011water season, depending on river level. With the extension works, two Post\u2011Panamax vessels will be able to berth simultaneously, with lengths ranging from 366 to 400 meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"relative pb-6 w-full after:border-b after:border-stroke-300 after:w-full after:absolute after:mt-3\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl-medium [&amp;:not(:first-child)]:pt-3.5 pb-1\"><strong>System Upgrades<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"font-ligatures-none whitespace-pre-wrap\">In optimizing the steel supply chain, Ferrominera operates efficiently and embraces new production challenges, implementing logistical protocols for the adaptation of the five existing barges and the dismantling of the current ship\u2011loader, making way for the new unit that will operate alongside AgricoSales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-ligatures-none whitespace-pre-wrap\">Leveraging the capabilities of Ferrominera\u2019s workforce to adapt each system, these works improve commercial performance parameters for the international competitiveness of the industry\u2014not only through safer and more automated infrastructure, but also by increasing annual loading volume in less time.
